3Y0I BOUVET ISLAND DXPEDITION NEWS (Update). The following was posted on
the Rebel DX Group FaceBook page, January 4th [edited]: Some members of
the Rebel DX Group have arrived in Cape Town, South Africa. After several
Covid protocols we are in the good hands of our ZS friends and local
    supporters.
Just to remind you, the whole of our expedition equipment from the
first Bouvet "attack" was secured at the QTH of Andre ZS1AN. What a
great guy he is!! We will check again all our expedition gear during
    the coming days.
We had a very busy day yesterday with Shawn, ZS1SBW, working on im-
portant paperwork for upcoming projects. More info on that soon.
The Bouvet (3Y0I) trip is on track. Still some budget is missing but
we are hoping to get some of the missing $$$. Our last attempt cost us
over $250K private money (donations were just 7%) and sadly that went
to the "vessel chimney" (for fuel). Let's hope, this time we will be
    more lucky.
Here is a link if you are willing to help:
    https://www.gofundme.com/f/3yi-bouvet-island-expedition
For your information, we will not apply for financial support to any
DX Foundation or big Clubs as their conditions are not acceptable to us
for a trip to one of the most wanted DXCC entities; and one of hardest
places to go on our planet.

6 METER NEWS. DX-WORLD.net reports: Russian Government Radio Frequency
Commission meeting took place on December 30th. They didn't approve 6m
band allocation for hams and this issue was postponed without dates.

of Crimea on whose territory a temporary permit is valid).

AT2, INDIA (Special Event). To celebrate 100 years of amateur radio in
India, look for special event callsign AT2YAR to be on the air through
March 1st. Activity will be on various HF bands and modes. QSL via VU3ZHA.
More expected special event callsigns are expected.

AAW 2021. The 18th Antarctic Activity Week will take place next month
between February 20-28th. All Radio Amateurs (OMs & SWLs) around the
world, Clubs and Organizations as well as other important groups and

competition. Some operators have already signed-up to participate. See
    the following Web page at:
    http://www.waponline.it/antarctic-activity-week/aaw-2021
The WAP's intention is to draw WW attention to the Antarctic Continent,
and the AAW is a unique event World-Wide (WW) where Hams (in any corners
of the world, and not necessarily in Antarctica) wish to celebrate and
improve World-Wide interest around the Icy Continent.
Purpose of the A.A.W. is to increase world wide interest around Antarctic
Continent and its related matters, with the aim of staying close to the
researchers and personnel who are spending their time away from home and
families, studying the Antarctic life and its secrets. Addition purpose
is to share what Nations and Organizations are doing to protect this
still non contaminated corner of the world, to share a WW message of peace.

gemeinschaft Telegraphie (AGCW) will activate the special event callsign

AT2GSI from Sagar Island (also known as Gangasagar or Sagardwip),
an island in the Ganges Delta, lying on the continental shelf
of Bay of Bengal about 100 km South of Kolkata, West Bengal,
India, between January 9-16th. QSL via eQSL.

OC-139. (Update) Grant, VK5GR, posted the following on his Web page
on January 7th [edited]: "Final antenna packing lists are
being drawn up today, and at this stage, I hope to also include
an inverted L for 160m. Having tried to operate 160m at home
recently I decided I was silly not to give it a go in a much
more RF quiet location with a better antenna, a better ground
plane. I will try and pay attention in particular to my morning
grey-line into Europe, but will also do some activity during
the NA morning grey-line as well.
Only 4 days to go before we depart Adelaide and head down
to IOTA OC-139. See you on the air!"
JUST REMINDER: Grant has stated, "This time it will be more
holiday (with the family) and less radio..... Activity will be
a combination of CW, SSB and FT8, possibly with some RTTY and
PSK thrown in for fun. I also hope to put VK5KI on air during
the WIA Summer VHF/UHF field day on 6m/2m/70cm (and maybe 23cm).
Visit VK5GR Web page at: https://vk5gr-iota.net

OC-210. Reportedly, Indra, YB8QT, has moved from Celebes Island [Su-
lawesi](OC-146) in early November to Sangihe Islands (OC-210)
and is expected to be there until possibly 2025. He is there
for a government job. QSL via IK2DUW or LoTW.

2021 IOTA TOUR. Bodo, DF8DX, announced that he will be active from
the following location during 2021. His next activities are:

and we will post it here in an upcoming bulletin......

a suitable area to operate from under the current restrictions. I will
operate on 20 and 17 meters QRP SSB, No Digital Modes. My equipment will
be a Icom IC-705 and an AlexLoop magnetic loop antenna. Not the best of
