    [​IMG] Funeral service for James Rickey "Rick" Jacks, 60, "Ham Radio Enthusiast" will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. The Rev. Glenn Horn will officiate. Graveside with Masonic rites will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Jacks passed away March 10, 2014 at UAB Hospital. Rick was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was employed by Honda Manufacturing for 12 years and was a member of Masonic Lodge #261. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Carl and Adelle Strickland Jacks. Rick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Jacks; children, Lori Jacks and Lindsay Jacks. Pallbearers will be Randy and Chase Scoggins, Ray Jeter, and Sean Downs, Honorary pallbearers will be employees at Honda Manufacturing and Masonic Lodge #261.     Rick and I both got into Ham radio in 1982. and 11 meters for many years prior to that. RIP Rick,we'll all miss seeing and hearing you very much.
