Joined a little while back, now I received my callsign this morning and updated my QRZ account but when I search my call or even KF0RH* there is only 3 shown RHA, RHB, and you guessed it RHC. I thought the pages were constantly updated. I can find my info on the FCC page. So, when might this site show my status?
The next update will most likely have it. The updates here don't happen in real time, afaik, but it should be soon.
It took a friend of mine about a week after receiving her call sign to appear here. It took some patience, as she really wanted to get a QRZ-1 HT kit through the new hams program.
The FCC doesn't make the information available to us until a day or more after it appears on the FCC site. It's updated here minutes after we receive it.
On 8/30 the FCC daily data download failed, and no hams who had vanities issued that day had their callsigns updated on QRZ. Now, on 9/1, thank god the Weekly Data Download shows them. For me, my call should be updated from KZ4JT to K4MPS when this file was published by FCC. On AE7Q this update is properly reflected, and I'm good to go on their site because they look at the weekly update as a backup. However it looks like QRZ ONLY looks at the daily files, and not the weekly files which contain 100% of FCC's licenses. Because of this, my call on QRZ is still KZ4JT, with no fix in sight (as there will never be a daily file that shows my update - the only daily update file which would show my update is 8/30, which was corrupted). What do we need to do to update my callsign to K4MPS due to this FCC daily file data failure? It will not be resolved without manual intervention. At this point I am not making any calls since folks will think i'm the previous K4MPS owner Maureen Gabe, and as a paid customer for XML data it's disheartening QRZ doesn't use the weekly as a backup / resiliency method to this issue. I'm sure it's not the first time the daily files were corrupted from FCC I can't be the first person affected by this issue.
