The new expedition club LA1NEC has finally aquired the license from the Norwegian telecom authorities.

The very first expedition will be on a small island in the inner Oslo fjord, lately opened for the public.

The island Oscarsborg has been a historical point in European history, with the Oscarsborg fort and the sinking of the German WW-II ship Blücher, only a few people has visited the military installation and radio amateurs has never ran a station on the island.

Unfortunately the inner Oslo fjord islands does not have any IOTA number yet.

LA1NEC will run many expeditions from Norway every year and they will choose special places with local history and points of view.

LA1NEC will have its own award: NEC AWARD, where the rules for completion will come later. As well as online log systems and priority of QRP stations, LA1NEC believe this initiative will increase the worldwide ham activity.

We welcome everyone to take a look and register at our newly created website at: http://www.qsl.no

    More information will come.
