Yeah! We like it because it's hard ... NOT because it's easy.

For most of us in NA, Cyprus is the easiest Asia to work and QSL. One nice side effect of these new awards on roll out is old QSO's thought dead suddenly confirm as ops now want the award credit. I had several from 2015-16 confirm this morning which was a surprise. 73

Have faith Grasshopper, I accomplished the award and have only used wire antennas, G5RV, inverted "L" or my current 80m delta loop.

If I can do it with 100 watts & a wire with noise floor of S6-S7 then anyone can.
It's the old saying "being in the right place at the right time"

Well said! I also use only 100 watts and a vertical ground mounted, yet I achieved the results.

I like the awards from QRZ. Time will tell if I like them enough to pay for a certificate, suitable for framing, etc. ect.

Like some of you, almost all of those awards I've gotten from QRZ were achieved from my current location with wires in the trees. Not necessarily low power though...

I agree. I'm currently at 1,256 (confirmed) counties. I wonder if anyone has ALL counties (confirmed) in the USA? I think that would be a great addition to the leaderboard you see in you logbook; that current only shows confirmed QSO, countries worked, and banded countries worked. Hope this make sense.

    Look here: http://countyhunter.com/Toplist/CCAtoplist.htm
Lots of folks have done exactly that, although the home page for the County Hunters said that there are no nets currently running for County Hunting.

Thanks for the new award. I've already have it up on my QRZ.com page. But may I make a suggestion? I think if you hover over one of the award banner on your QRZ page, it should specify what's required to earn the award. For example: "The ASIA award requires confirmed contact with 54 unique Asian DXCC band-entities." Also, the printed awards don't really specify what's required either making the impression you would only have to work one or two asian stations to get the award.
