My Condolences, God Comfort all who knew Ted, and Mary Ann Allison.

Here is the article linked above.

An elderly married couple that had just left church on Aug. 12 died last week from injuries after their car was broadsided by a driver going the wrong way down a one-way street.
Teddy and Mary Ann Allison celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on July 7.
“It’s hard to say, but we think it’s better for them that they died together,” said the couple’s son, Stan Allison. “They had been together for so long that it would have been hard for one to live without the other.”
According to police, Teddy Allison was the driver of a white Saturn car that Sunday morning and was heading south on Murray Boulevard near Sawyer Way about 10:45 a.m.
At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 18-year-old Khalil Sanders was headed west on Sawyer Way. In that area, Sawyer Way is a one-way street headed east. Police say Sanders drove into the intersection with Murray Boulevard without stopping and slammed into the Allison’s car.
The couple was taken to the hospital, both in critical condition. Teddy Allison, 67, died Aug. 15 and Mary Ann Allison, 71, died Aug. 18.
Sanders was also taken to the hospital and was treated and released for his injuries. According to Fort Carson, Sanders is a Private First Class and member of the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division. He joined the Army in November 2011 and was assigned to Fort Carson in May. Police continue to investigate the crash and are still determining what charges, if any, he potentially faces.
The Allison’s son said the crash was a shock -- both of his parents were active and healthy.
“No one ever thinks it will happen in their family,” Stan Allison said. “Being 67 and 71, they were so healthy that, for them, it seems pretty young.”
The Allisons had met in Tribune Kansas and later moved to the west side of Colorado Springs, where they lived for the rest of their lives. Teddy Allison was an electronics technician at Hewlett Packard and Mary Ann Allison was a homemaker and accountant at Young life. That Sunday morning, they had just left services at Friendship Assembly of God Church, 3685 New Center Point. Their son said they were seasoned travelers and had visited 49 states in the U.S. and all of the provinces in Canada. Teddy Allison was and avid runner and biker and Mary Ann Allison was a speed walker.
“She could walk anyone into the ground,” Stan Allison said with a chuckle.
Along with their son, they are survived by a daughter Stacy Schaut who lives in Loveland.
Visitation for the couple will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Ave. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Friendship Assembly of God Church, 3685 New Center Point
