    Jeffery K Cummings

Of Spiceland Indiana became Silent Key on January 22nd 2019 surrounded by his family.

Jeff fought a good battle against cancer but could no longer go any further.

Jeff was a great guy and he would do anything he could do to help out a fellow Ham.

I wish the Best to his family and the Amateur radio community will miss hearing the Call Sign N9ARZ

    Obituary for Jeff K. Cummings
Jeff K. Cummings, 59, of Spiceland, went to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. A patient at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, he fought a good fight, he kept the faith, he finished the course. Born November 29, 1959, he was the son of Kenneth and Donna (Vitatoe) Cummings.

He had served as Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle and Jackson Park Baptist Church in Muncie. He was the youngest deacon ordained within the Southern Baptist Convention in 1983.

Jeff had a special bond with each person he met. He made everyone feel as if they were important, and never knew a stranger. He enjoyed collecting antique radios and was an avid HAM radio operator.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 37 years, Kathy Cummings of Spiceland, who he married on April 25, 1981; three children, Elizabeth (Elijah) Eley of New Castle, Jeremiah (Kylena) Cummings of Spiceland, Aaron Cummings of New Castle; six grandchildren, Abigail, Leah, Raegen, McKinley, Ava, and Allie; sisters, Tina Scanlan of Pendleton and Pam (Alan) McCammack of Knightstown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth and Donna Cummings, he was preceded in death by his in laws, Ira and Irene Clements; several aunts, uncles, and his grandparents.

Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at the funeral home.
