    I read in today's Intelligencer (Doylestown, PA) the obituary of Gene Wiley Glidden, N3CNW, of Doylestown. He passed away on August 3 at the age of 79.

    From what the obit read, he was a WW2 veteran, who served on the Manhattan Project. At age 12, he became one of the youngest licensed shortwave operators.
