    Robert H. Kellogg III, 69, a resident of Gambrills for over 30 years and previously of Glastonbury, CT, died April 13 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, succumbing to Lung Cancer after a 10 year battle.
    He was born January 27, 1943, in Hartford, CT, and was a college graduate. He was a 1SG in the United
    States Army for 20 years, as an intelligence linguist of three languages, specializing in cryptography and morse code. He retired in 1981 after serving our country for 20 years around the globe. He also worked at the Comm Center, Sigma Systems, and occupied long term employment at E.I. DuPont. After the sale of his division, he worked at the Bemis Corporation until his retirement at age of 65 in 2007.
    A member of All Hallows Parish in Davidsonville, he enjoyed ham radio operation, spending time with his grandchildren and trade craft work as a hobby from home. In later years his primary joy was boating on the Chesapeake Bay on his boat "Scallywaggs." He was a Master Mason for his entire adult life beginning his search for light all the way back to DeMolay in his youth.
    He is survived by his son, Michael T. Kellogg of Jessup; two daughters, Pamela S.K. Thomas and Sharon L. Kellogg, both of Nottingham; sister, Mary Lubin of San Leandro, CA; and two grandchildren.
    Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Rd., Gambrills. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at All Hallows Chapel, 864 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville. Interment at All Hallows Chapel Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in his name to All Hallows Chapel at P.O. Box 235, Davidsonville, MD 21035 in lieu of flowers.
