I owe much to him for direction in life, in addition to getting me interested in Amateur Radio back in my teens. With his help, I got my Novice ticket at age 15. We both tested on the same day. He was assigned WB5UPR and my call was WB5UPS. It was a very special day for me.

We spent many, many hours in the shack together - working CW on the 80 meter band late at night and 40 meter bands during the afternoons. Such great memories. Father and son - copying code, building homebrew projects together. It was all such a wonderful time in my life.

    73 Dad - I miss you.
