The chain of UK Poundshop stores are selling broadcast FM band (88-108 MHz) radios for just one UK pound ($1.70). Some enterprising Radio Amateurs have figured out how to modify them to work as Direct Conversion receivers for the reception of CW and SSB signals on 7 MHz. For full details see:
