I regret to report that a dear friend of mine, Mick Emery, KE0GBR, is now a silent key. Mick was very active in the amateur community in East Tennessee. He was fairly active in the community on the various repeaters, with POTA, a member of Monroe County ARES, and the 2023 Vice President of Monroe Amateur Radio Club in Madisonville, TN. He was a regular on the daily "Lunch Bunch" net on the W4KEV repeaters and served as an assistant NCS and side-kick weekly. The Monroe County ARES will be performing a Silent Key ceremony during our regular Wednesday net, February 7th, at 8:00pm.
