    Hi everyone.

On the 15th-18th of July, the team from Wakefield and District Radio Society will make their 4th trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne which is just off the Northumberland Coast and is about 55 miles to the North East of the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne in Northern England.

As in previous years, the callsign that will be primarily used will be GB1HI, however we do have a pair of backup callsigns which are GB4HI and GB5HI.

We hope to operate on 80-6m at various times observing where possible the IOTA frequencies, as it qualifies for IOTA status under EU 120.

As well as SSB, it is hoped to do some from of data modes so if you hear us, please don't be a stranger and make contact with us, even if you have worked us before. And if anyone can cluster us to help us beat the last total of around 2700 qso's, then that would be most helpful.

As usual the QSL route is via Charles M0OXO who as well as QSL manager, is also principal operator for SSB along with my good self, and for data modes it will be Dave G0EVA.

You can visit the club website at www.wdrs.org.uk or check the callsign on QRZ.

    Many thanks.

The activation also qualifies for Worked All Britain and World Flora Fauna.
