The Bolingbrook Amateur Radio Society (BARS) is sponsoring a new community public outreach, information and demonstration event--Libraries On The Air--to be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon (Central) at the Fountaindale Public Library in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Hams will be on hand to demonstrate as well as operate in different modes. This is first known operation as "Libraries On The Air", and all hams are encouraged to support the event. Operation is expected on HF phone and digital. The club will be operating using the club call K9BAR.
