The 2009 UEFA Cup Final will be the final match of the 2008–09 UEFA Cup, the 38th season of the UEFA Cup, UEFA’s second tier club football tournament. It will also be the last final to be held under the UEFA Cup name, since the competition will be rebranded as the UEFA Europa League effective with the 2009–10 season. The match will be contested by Shaktar Donetsk and Werder Bremen.

The match will be played at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, home ground of Fenerbahce FC, in Istanbul,TURKIYE on 20 May 2009. It will be the second European football final held in Turkiye, after the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final, which was held in another Istanbul venue, the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.
