This is my experience with this project. It has some challenges but the rewards are worthwhile. Enjoy. This video is almost 1 hour in length. The dongle I guess you can call it that give you phone (voice), APRS, and direct text messaging capabilities on 2 meters. The phone or tablet doesn't need cellular or internet service. The dongle get power from the device it's connected to.
