    Ken D. Sullivanne, W4KDS SK

Kenneth DeWayne Smith Sullivanne, 58, passed away July 21, 2021 after a lengthy illness. His funeral will be held at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in Opelika, Alabama on Sunday, July 25 at 4pm. Visitation will be at 2pm.

Mr. Sullivanne was born on February 2, 1963 to Judy and Ken Smith of Ozark, Alabama. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice and Public Safety (with a Paralegal certificate) from Auburn University in 1985. He married the love of his life Susan Andrews in 1984. Together they raised two sons and were married for thirty-seven years. They lived in Montgomery for nearly nineteen years before moving back to Auburn in 2003, where he had a successful career as the Chief Technology Officer for a local manufacturer. Ken was an active member of the University Church of Christ and enjoyed lifting his beautiful voice to the Lord and leading the congregation in song. He held positions in the communities he lived in as the President of the Optimus Club, President of the Ham Radio Club of Montgomery, and a member of Mensa. He will be remembered most for his love for God and his family as well as his kindness, generosity and enormous sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Susan, sons Spencer (Katelyn), and Matthew, his father Ken Smith, brothers Brad Smith (Kim), Sam Smith (Carol), and William Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy, and grandparents.
