Kenneth Alan Barnett, 69, passed away at his home on April 21, 2008 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. At his request no public services are planned. Cremation will be done at Eternal Hills Funeral home and he will be inurned at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash. Kenneth was born April 2, 1939 in Wenatchee, Wash., to Thelma Faye (Auvil) and Joseph Ronald Barnett. Kenneth enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 1956 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in January of 1961. Kenneth worked in the electronics field for most of his career. For a short time he was honored to be a Deputy Sherriff in Kitsap County, Wash. He also loved being an educator for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, as well as the National Rifle Association. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Pamela and Mark Ratcliffe of Kent, Wash.; and his grandchildren Caitlyn and Erin Ratcliffe, and Elizabeth, Katrina and Steven Walthall. He will be missed most of all by his close friends Carol Weston, Larry Paschke, Lanny Fujishin, and Margaret Ling. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to: Child Education Program of the NRA.
