William G. Howe, III, KA9WRL SK William George Howe Grafton, Wisconsin Sep 26, 1943 – Jan 15, 2017 (Age 73) Eernisse Funeral Home Obituary William was born on September 26, 1943 and passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017. William was a resident of Grafton, Wisconsin at the time of his passing. He graduation from Antigo High School in 1961, he studied electronics at both Stout State College in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and Wausau Technical Institute in Wausau, Wisconsin. In 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Bill served two years in Vietnam, earning the Parachutist Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He achieved the rank of Sergeant, and, most notably, became a Green Beret and member of the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). Later in life Bill also joined the Air Force Reserve and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. We are grateful for and proud of his service. He was married to Clarice Marie (Bruno.
