A great loss to the Hamm Community as well as the people who knew him K6BOD Or Mister Ed to most of us especially the Truck Driving Crowd, went Silent Key 1/13/2003 His "Truck Driver Repeater (146.74)" Finally Went up the weekend Before he passed (So He Lived to see that Dream come true) thanx to Norm Stallbird KC7YNV and Johnny Jones (WA6RHK) and Others who made that happen. Ed Started Hamm as a young Man when he was trained as a High-Speed Code Operator in the Military during WWII. He was always glad to help anyone out whether in Hamm or any other matters.
The Funeral will be a Full Military Honors Funeral at 11 am at the Evergreen Cemetry in Yreka Ca. Followed by a what was reffered to by his daughter as a Good old Irish Wake Potluck Dinner at the Hornbrook Grange hall of which Ed was heavily involved.
In Lue of Flowers the Family Requests that Donation be made to Keep "His" Repeater up and running
