K4ITL, Danny Hampton, the driving force behind the Piedmont Coastal Repeater Network in North Carolina and the Southeastern Repeater Association, went SK this week. He was given the Amateur of the Year award at Dayton in 2009. Danny's accomplishments over decades in ham radio are even more impressive when you realize that he was blind. Everyone who operates or uses a repeater in North Carolina is indebted to Danny.
