    Delaney, Robert L. Sr. LOUDONVILLE
    Robert L. Delaney Sr., 87, died suddenly, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home.
    Born in Albany and a graduate of the former Vincentian Institute he was the son of the late John and Rose (Oliver) Delaney Sr.
    Mr. Delaney was a Navy veteran of World War II serving as aviation chief radioman.
    He worked as a construction manager for Honeywell International for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Delaney was a member and past president of the Albany Amateur Radio Association and was known by his call letters K2BUF.
    He was also a member and past officer of the American Legion in Albany. He loved spending time at his camp in Northville and was devoted to his wife and family.
    Beloved husband of 66 years of Loretta (Kennedy) Delaney; father of Robert (Christine) Delaney Jr. of Ballston Lake, Rose (Cecil) Carter of Selkirk, Lauret (Nelson G.) Kenney of Slin-gerlands and Edward (Elizabeth) Delaney of Potomac Falls, Va.; grandfather of Kimberly Adams, Susan McCulloch, Jason Kenney, Jennifer Doughty, Megan Warren, Robert Louis Delaney III, Rose, Claire, Noah and Kellan Delaney; brother of William (the late Irene) Delaney of Rochester, N.H. and the late John D. (Mary) Delaney Jr.
    He is also survived by five great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. James Church), 391 Delaware Ave., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Those who wish may make memorial donations to City of Hope, 1055 Wilshire Blvd., 12th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90017,
