    July 20, 1935 - April 10, 2018
    MSgt John W. Miller USAF (RET) passed away on April 10, 2018 at the age of 82.
    John was born on July 20, 1935 in Carthage, Missouri, the son of Guy and Clara Miller.

    John proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. Throughout his military career he was stationed in various location CONUS and also in North Africa, Philippines, Korea and Japan.

    He was an expert in his field of Aviation Electronics and became a HAM Radio Operator during his off time.
    John earned his private pilot license (PPL) and enjoyed flying single or multi-engine small private planes. In his free time he loved to go fishing and play golf, often bringing his wife along with him.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Clara Miller; brother, Jerry Osborn; sisters, Virginia Branscom and Shirley Wagner.

    John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Toni "Betty" Miller; daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" A. Hilsdorf and husband Edward G. Jr; sons, Michael "Mike" Miller and significant other Patricia A. Canales, John O. Miller and wife Lora J. Miller; grandchildren, Tera E. Page, Jerry J. Page, Andrea J. Maddox, Mary E. Cousins, Michelle Jones, Melissa N. Miller-Garza, Melanie R. Miller, Elizabeth M. Miller, Bryce W. Miller, Ryan J. Miller; great-grandchildren, Jadon Garza, Makenna Garza, Camden Miller, Emma Page, Beau Page, Chandler Gray, Trinity Jones, Tyler Maddox, Julian Cousins, Gavin Gray, Caleb Butterworth, Thatcher Jones, Timothy Butterworth, Jensen Jones and Christopher Wedding.

    A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.

    A Graveside Service will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 1:15PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
