John Kakstys, W2FNT

W2FNT, who ran a little ham radio business from his basement for many years, became a silent key yesterday, 01 August 2008. He was 89 and had held W2FNT for 75 years.

Rest in peace old friend.

I've known Johnny K for 43 years, he'll surely be missed. Don't mind me not writing a eulogy, I'm not very good at such things. -<)

 

Sad to hear about John - my dad and I had both done some business with him over the years. He and my dad really "bonded" after they realized that one of John's local ham buddies (Ted - can't remember his call) and my dad had been good friends when they were in the service together in WWII. (I think Ted may have become an SK around the time dad started doing business with John.) I'll have to pass this along to dad....
