In case you missed it, I saw a fascinating eulogy about John Glenn today on CBS Sunday Morning. It illustrates the under recognized connection between his life and that of another great aviator, Charles Lindbergh, and some important yet neglected contributions of each. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/a-little-known-story-from-the-life-of-john-glenn/
What a class act and native Ohioan. I met him a couple of times, and one of them was in Dayton when he spoke at the awards dinner. A combat veteran, a marine, a family man and Senator. He did a lot for us Baby Boomers and the country. Rest in peace and Godspeed.
Interesting to me, Glenn and Armstrong from 8 land. Ohio is #4?? in the US for hams. Something special in the Midwest there...
Sad News, Annie Glenn, the widow of astronaut and Senator John Glenn has passed away at the age of 100. A recent victim of Corona Virus. You may RIP this time with your wonderful husband amongst the stars of the universe. 73
