John Breeding, 59, of Ottumwa, died at 9:00 p.m. April 14, 2024 at his home. He was born November 8, 1964 in Ottumwa to Robert and Shirley Moffatt Breeding. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, John had worked for a radio station as a program switcher. He was a member of Ottumwa Baptist Temple and never missed a Wednesday or Sunday worship service. John was a ham radio operator and a weather spotter. Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Chrissy Hofstetter of Kentucky, Matt (Carly) Breeding and Trent Breeding both of Ottumwa, Tyler Breeding of Fairfield and Ian Breeding and Michaela Breeding both of Ottumwa; and many aunts and uncles, including Vera McElroy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ed Breeding and Jim Breeding. His body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
