James "Jim" Byron Hall passed away at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center on July 6, 2023, at the age of 81. Jim was born in Rockford, Illinois in 1942. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1960, and after four years in the U.S. Navy, he went on to earn an Associates Degree from Rock Valley College in 1967. Because of Jim's merit and scholastic accomplishment, he was officially recommended to appear in the publication "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges."
In December 1967, Jim began V-TIP, Inc./MASTERTASK TRAINING and became a leader in industrial training producing a vast library of training material. One of his greatest joys was helping people improve their skills to secure better jobs and build better lives.
Jim loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He enjoyed growing orchids and was president of Blackhawk Orchid Society for six years. He loved his telescopes, enjoyed being a HAM radio operator, and truly loved fishing for musky. He actually caught them!
