Iy9mm special call for 150 years Marconi from 1 to 31 March!

On March 9, 1914 Marconi had his radio devices install on the battle ship "Regina Elena" moored in the port of Augusta (SR) while a second vessel was a receiver of the same.

The 2 ships headed in the open sea of Sicily where there is a perfect reception at a distance of 35 km, and in a unclear way up to 70 km!

For the 150 anniversary of the birth of our Marconi, the special name IY9mm will be activated.

The "Marconiana" special station will be operational in all ways and in all HF bands from 1 to 31 March 2024.

All contacts will be confirmed with an EQSL (they will be recorded on LOW).
