You are invited to join a live stream from a presentation given by Lee KD4RE about history of SSB. The discussion will include a little history of the SSB, what exactly is it and how do Hams use it today. Most all Ham High Frequency (HF) communications today use SSB modulator and demodulator circuits — not just for voice communications, but also for most of the digital modes including RTTY (frequency shift keying), the weak signal FT-8 and PSK (Phase Shift Keying). The presentation will include how the SSB signals are generated (there are five ways) and how modern receivers detect the side band signal.
The stream will start at or around 20:00EST/01:00Z on 2019-02-22
