    Not to downplay the Engineering designs/concepts, but,............ how can these "vehicles" operate legally on a public highway?

    Ask the Amish ?? The route is along rural highways, and the cars have flashing lights and slow moving vehicle triangle on them. Not to mention the proper authorities have likely signed off, and escort vehicles will follow them as well.
