Help promote the ARRL and the hobby around the world

You are invited to help spread the word about this wonderful hobby amateur radio to a global radio audience!

You are invited to call into a live radio show tomorrow Saturday November 12, 2011 between 4 PM Central and 10 PM Central.
This is an International Shortwave Radio broadcast with global coverage.

You are invited to call in and tell us about your local club or organization and share with us things your group may be doing.

We would like to hear about your interests in the hobby and what it was that got your interest and opened the door to the hobby.

There are millions of shortwave listeners around the world, so this a good opportunity to tell them about our hobby and the ARRL.

So spread the word to all radio amateurs that you know and let them know they are invited to call in.

Saturdays broadcast is the launch of a new 100,000 watt shortwave transmitter for a new shortwave facility, WTWW just outside of Nashville, TN.

The frequencies are from 4 PM till 6PM Central 9990 KHZ and from 6 PM till 10 PM Central 5085 KHZ.

A link to a live stream will be posted on http://www.tedrandall.com

We will be reading emails over the air, taking requests and dedications and most important putting as many radio amateurs on the air that will call in.

Lets tell the world about our hobby and spread some international good will!

The phone number to call in starting tomorrow at 4 PM Central is 615-547-9520

The world will be waiting to hear from you!

Thanks for your participation and 73

I will always promote amateur radio, I will never promote any NGO, especially the ARRL, they are bad news.
I urge others to do the same!

    NGO = Non-Governmental Organization
(Apparently he only supports the governmental organizations. Hihi)

Realistically, I'm sure the event isn't all about the ARRL. I bet the call in show would love to hear your thoughts on ham radio and the evils of the ARRL. You know, so the listeners get a real cross sectional view of the ham population.

I'm all for promoting our hobby and spreading the word, but honestly, if someone is listening to a shortwave talk show, they're probably well aware of ham radio and have been for many years. (perhaps already a ham themself?) I'm not sure what the latest demographics for shortwave listeners are, but I'm willing to be it almost mirrors the ham radio demographics.

Always helps to inject a little humor when the subject of the ARRL comes up!

almost sounds like a previous t.v. commercial.
    CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
I agree with n5dux that a lot of shortwave listeners know about ham radio. And I get qsl cards from them as well. I don't know why the drum beaters in Newington have to get involved

I was listening this afternoon on 3973, that conversation and the intelligence and profanity displayed there was reason enough to hope no one found out about amateur radio.

    Worse than pitiful!

Thanks for posting the link here as well as on AMfone Paul. Ted really has a great show that I am listening to now on 5.085 Mc. I have heard very little mention of the ARRL on the show, but a lot of talk about the amateur radio hobby as well as SWLing. Anyone with the love of RF in their veins I think will really enjoy the programming. Rarely is there much out there for a domestic U.S. Shortwave listener to hear besdies religious programming. What a welcome change!!!

The ONLY thing the ARRL (Armeanian Rum Runners League) is interested in
    is taking folks money.

Rather that check with folks OUTSIDE the Good Ol' Boys Club, and OTHER hams, they promote agenda's harmful to ham radio. The Newington Bunch ought to be down in Washington raising all kinds of hell about these truckers and out-banders here in the States freely using 10 meters as their private channels.

I know, there is nothing we can do with the Mexican cabs or drug dealers down there. People all around the World have discovered 10/11 meters.
A solution might be to go to Morse Code or a digital mode. Crank up the
power, just a mite and see if they don't move. If they don't, crank it up
another skosher bit, LOL! If enough of us do it, they will generally
    get the idea.

    GOD BLESS,
    73,

    Brother Don/KA5LQJ

We're waiting for YOU and the other ARRL HATERS to do it for us, since evidently the League doesn't do SQUAT for ham radio. We'll all be waiting with baited-breath, so please come back with how to "fix" Amateur Radio QUICKLY.
