Are you employed in a broadcast station? Do you have Echolink, an IRLP or Allstar node or access to one? There is a full time conference bridge that ties all three amateur VOIP systems together, dedicated to “Hams in Broadcasting”.

Dial into IRLP conference bridge # 9615, or Echolink conference # 96150 (SBE), or Allstar Node 27405. This conference bridge is meant for 24/7 communication and chatting between hams who are in the broadcast field. Engineers, announcers, newspeople, and even salespeople in the business are invited anytime to be on the bridge. The reality is that anyone who is even interested in broadcasting, radio, TV or Internet is more than interested in joining us on the bridge. Have a question about radio or TV? Dial on in, there just might be an answer.

Of special note are two nets that meet on the bridge. Every Sunday night, at 8:00 PM ET (7 CT, 6 MT and 5 PT) there is a general “Hams in Broadcast Net”, usually hosted by Brew, WA2ZST, who works for the CBS network in New York City. There also is a twice a month “SBE Hams on the Air” net. More information on that net at: http://www.sbe.org/sections/IRLP.php
