Hamfest in Cowtown, Texas (Fort Worth)

COWTOWN HAMFEST 2011

Cowtown Hamfest, the original Hamfest in the Fort Worth Metroplex. The event date, January 14-15, 2011 at Lockheed Martin Recreation Area, 3400 Bryant Irvin Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76109.

Doors open Friday evening the 14th at 3:00 pm until 8:00pm. Saturday the 15th we open at 8:00am and close at 3:00pm. Lunch, Bar-B-Q sandwiches, is available Saturday at 11:00am. Morning coffee and snacks will also be available. Door prizes will be awarded through out the event. The main prize will be at the events end.

Volunteers are needed; free entrance will be given in return for a minimum of 2 hours volunteer time. Volunteer by contacting Ken Bush at kb5ybi@dot11net.net or

The event will feature large vendor areas over 100 tables and outdoor tailgate flea market. Several well known commercial vendors will be present. Vendors should go to the website for table availability and or contact Kevin Vickers at kdvickers@aol.com. Educational programs, and VE Testing, will be conducted through out Saturday. Does anybody know if the Cowtown Hamfest is CHL friendly?

 

Not sure about that, but based on other recent area hamfests, they should require bathing and deodorant.

Didn't notice a 30.06 sign at the guard shack when I was out there last, but I'm not that observant at times.
