I had the county Emergency Management Coordinator and a congress critter show up to mine, so not completely out of the question.
Every once in a while you might hear the K3FBI station on HF, if you are in Quantico VA there is the 147.345 / 443.55 K3FBI repeater, or so I have heard. That is the best kind of interest the FBI can have, they sponsor a station! I must say that it concerns me that amateur radio is being dragged into this political mess, and it does not help our public perception. My greatest concern is that we will see many more conspiracy theory anti-government types getting on without getting licenced. -73-
