HAARP to bounce signals off asteroid 2010 XC15 on December 27th.

Rcv'd HAARP's - Jan.2008 "7.4075MHz EME Test" and submitted a report.. Both EME return & terrestrial sigs audible.. Never rcv'd a reply..I think I'll resubmit one..hi.

Might need to get the ARRL to put some fire under UAF/NASA backsides so QSL cards arrive in a timely manner. People could die before receiving a much needed card. I'm still receiving conformations from QSO's 15+ years ago.

 

15yrs+... Reminds me of the "PO Box 88, Moscow" card era

 

I got the same email saying "in the coming weeks", no QSL card yet. I did provide my address. I talked with one other amateur radio operator who submitted a report but didn't include their address, but still got the same response email as above, and they haven't received any request for their address thus far, FWIW.

 

Hi Don- Regarding the Asteroid Bounce Test, what signal did you receive in BP51? The terrestrial- ionospheric reflection sig direct from Gakona and/or the reflected sig of the asteroid? Curious if other stns who posted here- rcv'd anything other than a terrestrial reflection..Thnx, Eric (+ ex n6spp/kl in bp51,bq40,bq50,ao63)

 

Yeah I def only received ionospheric reflection.

 

Seems like we are all experiencing a QSL no show. Thanks for the input.

I emailed them on Jul 25 (two weeks ago) to ask if QSL cards will be sent out, but have not received any response. Figured I'd drop an update here...

Nothing from the University to me as yet.

Having worked inside the University of Alaska system, the fastest I've ever seen anything progress would fall under "glacier-like". In this - they are not unlike most other University systems.

Given that two different Universities are in play, along with a bureaucratic-laden FedGov agency... I would suggest we all keep breathing.
