I am trying to find the call sign for Fred W. Sedenquist. He lived in Huntsville, Al for many years and died in 2000. A neighbor, who is his daughter does not recall his call sign. Hoping that I can find it out for her as well as for myself, being an Amateur Radio Operator myself. Thank you for any help you can give me.

    I would suggest starting here:

    https://archive.org/details/callbook

You can search inside a wide range of call books for his name.

    Winter 1980:

Fred W. Sedenquist K4HST 12010 Greenleaf Dr., Huntsville, AL

    There's also a John C. Sedenquist, Sr. WD4KAK 1709 32nd St, Shawmut, AL

    Possible relative?

1997 callbook shows that Fred was still living at 12010 but callsign now KX4O
(the current holder of KX4o is a frequent poster here on the forums @KX4O )

and John C. is KY4H and now in Valley, AL.

I can not thank you all for all the pertinent, complete information on Fred. W. Sedenquist. His family will be very appreciative. I am just a neighbor and got interested in what they had to say about her father, Fred. Said I would try to find out what I could. He died in 2000. Oddly enough, he was stationed in the Army in 1960 and so was I. Told them not only that we were there but Elvis Presley was there at the same time. It is very possible that Fred and I might just have crossed paths. Small world out there. Thanks again.

Just a small additional bit of info on John, his QRZ bio page shows him as a SK. He passed this past March. RIP Fred and John.
