It's getting more and more common to make a Christmas light antennas on YouTube, so this year I wanted to switch it up. Last year I made the EFHW, this year I made a regular ole Dipole. But I decided to decorate the tree with it, and see if I could still make an FT8 contact, and wow did it surprise me. I made a DX contact basically right off the bat, so as always, you don't need a giant yagi outside to play on HF.
