Albuquerque Duke City a "NO Go"
    New Mexico's Main hamfest
    In Sept. Not this year.

    From Duke City
We miss meeting old friends face-to-face, seeing the equipment and new gear, surfing the tailgate, visiting booths, attending seminars, teaching and learning new stuff.

But with the COVID infection rate rising in some locales, and no way to predict if we will be allowed to conduct the Duke City Hamfest and Convention safely in September, the Board of Directors has decided to postpone our convention for a second year. The new dates are Sept. 16-18, 2022 – again, the third weekend in September. Isleta Resort and Casino is holding those dates for us.

Sadly, we are not alone. Numerous other planners have cancelled or postponed their events too. Our primary concern centers on the safety and health of our attendees, presenters, and the event’s and venue’s staff. And compliance with the NM Department of Public Safety and Health cannot be ignored!

Meanwhile, we are exploring options to provide one or more virtual events to stimulate your interest in the many topics and activities available to amateur radio enthusiasts. In that vein, we ask that you take a few minutes to let us know about the topics that interest you. We have created a brief on-line survey to gauge your interest in those topics you may wish to attend.

You can take the survey here (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GMFFF3M) .

The survey results will guide us in providing virtual activities worthy of your interest.
We look forward to hearing from you; we always welcome your comments and suggestions at https://www.dukecityhamfest.org/contact-us.

Stay safe and enjoy our hobby!

    73,

    Board of Directors
    New Mexico Hamvention, Inc.
