Donald G Bergmark, W9NGA SK Donald Gene Bergmark April 4, 1944 - November 13, 2024 Don Bergmark passed away in Green Valley, Arizona, on Nov. 13, 2024. Don was born in April 1944 in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the youngest of five. After he graduated from Park Falls High School, he went to the University of Wisconsin in Superior. He graduated with a degree in math and physics. He then went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to live with his brother Gene while waiting to enter the Air Force in June. It was in Milwaukee where he met his wife, Jean. They were married in June 1968. Upon entering the Air Force in June 1966, he was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California, where he was a captain in the OSI. After four years in the Air Force, he went to work for Western Electric and then AT&T. He was project manager and put factories in Bangalore, India, and Jakarta, Indonesia. During this time, he also enjoyed golf, scuba diving, skiing and HAM radio. In 1999, he retired to Green Valley, Arizona, to enjoy his HAM radio, camping, traveling to many countries and cruises. Don and Jean had one son who passed away in 2010. Don is survived by his wife, Jean, his brother, Gene, sisters-in-law Karen and Delores, nieces and nephews.
