Saturday Dec 12th and Sunday Dec 13th, K9DHC will have the portable station set up at Shakespeare Ghost Town, just outside Lordsburg, NM.Will be operating on emergency power at 50 watts, at grid DM52. Working mainly 20 and 40 meters, with some attempts at 6 and 10 meters. This is a test run for a possible special event next year. Not taking the computer, so LBoW and QRZ logs wont be updated until Monday
Have shut down early. Was a great learning experience for a portable station. Did make one contact. Have a few changes to make to the portable set up before trying again. Am encouraged to go forward with a possible special event in June. Thank you to those that provided support and advice
