    David E. Roberts, Jr., 94, Pulaski, WI, went home to heaven Saturday, March 10, 2018. The son of David Sr. and Artie (Madden) Roberts was born August 9, 1923, in Gridley, Kansas. Dave grew up in Hardy, Arkansas. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in the Pacific, landing of Saipan, Tinian, and Guam. On May 5, 1950, Dave married Phyllis Collins in Duluth, MN.

    An active licensed radio amateur since age 16, David served as a Toastmaster in several states, and was a charter member of the club at Austin Straubel Airport in the early 1970s. Dave retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1974, where he had been employed for 32 years. He worked as manager of the airway facilities in northeast Wisconsin and upper Michigan and also had also worked in several others state as well as Cuba over the years.

    Dave was an active pilot and an avid fisherman. He had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed reading his bible.

    Survivors include three children: Teg Roberts, Pulaski, Bill Sr. (Brenda) Roberts, North Chase, and Paige (Bruce) Blaser, North Chase; grandchildren: Bill Jr. (Erin) Roberts, Black River Falls, Sarah Anderson, Texas, and Kevin (Lisa) Roberts, Pewaukee; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Artie Mae Roberts, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his two feline companions, Blacky and Bluey.

    Dave was preceded in death by one grandson, Bruce T. Blaser, Jr.; his ex-wife, Phyllis Roberts; and an infant sister.

    Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski Street, Pulaski, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Pastor Rick Schulze officiating, followed by military honors by the Pulaski Area Veterans. Burial will take place in spring in the Town of Chase Cemetery.
    The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour for their compassionate care.
