Hi. New to QRZ. Apologies if asked/answered; a quick search did not show.

Will participate on Low Power, single band, 20 meters in current DX CQ contest. In Special ARRL DX Rules .... Category Summary ..... here (PDF):

    https://contests.arrl.org/ContestRules/DX-Rules.pdf

    Single Operator, Single Band (SOSB)2

    QRP5 No

    Low Power (LP)5 No

    High Power (HP)5 Yes

I don't think it does but does that mean an SOSB operator can only use High Power?

    Thanks and 73,

    Neil.

Page 5 of that document shows the entry categories. While you don't have to run high power as a SOSB, other in the stations in that category may be running high power.

Thanks NB3R, helpful to know that low power is allowed for SOSB. The only antenna I have right now is a DIY 1/4 wave 20 meter. It's working well; I'l be back to contest today!

    Neil.
