The big news is that we now have a DMR Talkgroup on TGIF Network that is also crosslinked to Echolink, Allstar, YSF as well! A Net is in the works! So check us out on the following linked modes: DMR TGIF 3120664 YSF 20664 Echolink through AE5ME-R Allstar 515422 as well as on Facebook: Flying Hams Also, you can email me at wx5wx_dan@outlook.com 73, Dan WX5WX
It has long been noted that several interest groups overlap heavily - ham radio, flying, photography, astrophotography, and shooting. And yeah, I resemble that remark.

I'm down! Sierra Harrop, W5DX PP-ASEL TW/HP/Complex (almost done with IFR and Commercial) Based out of KHFD, Hartford-Brainard Airport, Connecticut.
You go Girl......SO PROUD OF YOU. My wife says it's a freedom like most people never get to experience, also once you own your on airplane it will spoil you and you will never want to drive long trips in a vehicle ever again. I hate driving long distances, would much rather go 5 mins to our local airport, pull the plane out and cut an 8 hour commute down to about 1.5 hrs. FREEDOM, I'm Proud of you Sierra, Rock those wings young lady!
Thanks! I flew to Sun n Fun and Oshkosh last year, and as part of my previous job as a content creator for AOPA, I would often travel solo by GA all over the US. I love it for the utility value.
I was a member of an international airline hams for a while, let it lapse a few years back. Does anyone know if they are still up and running? I've not found much info. No room for an HF in the gliders I fly now
Based out of 39N (Princeton NJ) and KEBW (New Bedford MA). Commercial/CFII, extra class, too many boatanchor radios, been thru too many airplanes (love pipers, but own a cessna...was all that was available at the time I jumped back into aviation)...and on allstar 27673, dmr 31429, wires-x 28598...Yes, that antenna in front of the tail feathers is a 2 meter antenna...I do airmobile...and fiddle with british sports cars.
All those linked groups and meeting places are on or via the Internet? Is there anything going on via RF and an antenna on the air?
