August 14 San Massimiliano Kolbe SP3RN: Patron of ALL the Amateur radio ! Saint Massimiliano Maria Kolbe, born in Zdunska Wola on 8 January 1894 and died in Auschwitz on 14 August 1941, was a presbyter and Franciscan Polish. He died in the concentration camp because he offered to take the place of a family father destined for hunger bunker. To beatify it in 1971 it was Pope Paul VI, defining it "Martyr of love".
