ARRL Rejects Ad for Repeater Directory

In a letter dated February 23, 2001, the Midwest Spectrum Management
Alliance, Inc. (MiSMA) request for a full page ad in the 2001-2002 ARRL
Repeater Directory was denied.  The ARRL Advertising Manager stated in a letter to Jim Fonte, K9FI, the MiSMA representative that...



"Regrettably, our Memorandum of Understanding with the National
Frequency Coordinators' Council precludes
us from promoting non-recognized bodies that are in competition with
NFCC-sanctioned organizations."



As the FCC recently mandated cooperation between all coordinators, this
official action by the ARRL flys in the face of this Commission mandate.
