    G3ZHI writes "Just dial 888 on IRLP to call McMurdo station Antarctica.
    The base came on line Wednesday 25th October 2001.
    The link goes out on a local UHF simplex channel around the American base which includes about 20 hams.
    This base is also in regular contact with South Pole station KC4AAA.
