A very cool update for Android posted ham radio operators. Until recently one of the drawbacks with the Android operating system was the lack of multitasking. After a recent update to Android 7 for my Google Nexus 9, I've been testing the compatibility of amateur radio apps for Android using the new split screen mode on Android N. This opens up a lot of potential for portable operators, who can now run two apps simultaneously, from a single device while in the field.
