Why is it that the whole world depends on Japan for the manufacturing of some of our most necessary components? Several years ago when upgrading our television studio much of the new equipment was on hold because Japan had suffered a major earthquake and tsunami. It took many months for production to ramp up while the entire industry around the world waited on supplies from Japan.

Time ago, Europeans together with their immigrated sibblings in the Americas abided by Asians and other Orient people. When was it, already? Do not worry too much, very soon no one -younger generations- will be able to remember, and everybody gonna be forever happy :):):) happy like in «Put an happy sticker each time you lose an intellectual property, skills and hundred thousands related jobs»
Thinking closely, there's something great in being settled in a Third World country like Brazil still is, they never ever managed to master anything technical or scientific by themselves only. Never lost anything :) people.

And my bet for 2021, Brazil's Correios gonna be taken over by China State :)... just because cannot be DHL nor FedEx

Was pretty eye opening, for me it was HVAC systems produced right on the edge exclusion zone. Set back the project several months. Very few people understand how very fragile we have become. Not much redundant production anymore.
