    The Amateur Radio Club at Indiana State University will be hosting the first annual POTA event at Turkey Run State Park in Marshall, IN this Saturday at noon. Open to the public.

    Event details:
    Who: Local Hams
    What: POTA, fox hunt, satellite contacts, impromptu ham lessons, hiking, grilling, sports, and more!
    Where: Big Log Shelter, Turkey Run State Park, Marshall, IN
    When: March 25, 2023. 12-6pm EST
    Why: To have fun, learn more about amateur radio, and get outside.

    Current plans:
    Stations hosted by local hams.
    Satellite hunting on 2m/70cm with baofengs (or other handhelds) and a yagi.
    Go on a hike and set up portable HF.
    Fox Hunt.
    (Uncertain) Mobile communications trailer.
    Opportunities to learn at all levels of ham.
    Lots of chances for new techs to practice with experienced hams.
    Grilling.
    Socializing.
    Sports balls will be available.
    Hiking.
    Enjoying other parks amenities.
