There’s nothing more adventurous than trying something new. I new way to activate a park. A new challenge to push you beyond what you think is capable. So when Doug KL7DUG asked if I wanted to go activate a park using he’s super cub. To land on a remote lake inside of Alaska’s most scenic landscape, I couldn’t wait! Follow us on our adventure and as always, thanks for taking the time to watch! 73 KL7EC
Great fun! Thanks for sharing. Who needs a picnic table when you have a PA-11. Did this have a Roberts STOL kit fully installed?
Gotta love those skis - I Googled them... EIGHTEEN GRAND! I guess most anything that gets bolted onto an airplane has a HUGE cost associated with it. Great video - watched it twice now! I also like the fact the pilot did a safety briefing before the flight - nicely done. Dave W7UUU
Thanks! Yeah once you say it’s going on a plane the price soars. He also has floats that he will put on in the summer. I wouldn’t want to guess what they cost. 73 KL7EC
Nice activation and a fun video to watch - especially that wolf attack! @KL7EC: Correct me if I'm wrong, but @ minute 4:55, it looks like you passed by what appears to be the Goose Creek Tower: https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/dr-seuss-house-aka-the-goose-creek-tower
